PORT MOODY, B.C. – Tracy Green is seeking one of Port Moody’s two seats on the School District 43 Board of Education in the Oct. 17, 2026 local election.
Green is now listed by the City of Port Moody as an officially nominated school trustee candidate. Port Moody voters will elect two trustees to the nine-member SD43 board, which serves Coquitlam, Port Moody, Port Coquitlam, Anmore and Belcarra.
From Parent to Community Advocate
Green says she has called the Tri-Cities home for more than two decades and moved to Port Moody with her family in 2016. Her two children are recent SD43 graduates.
Her professional background includes work in the conservation, social-impact and learning sectors, as well as work with B.C.’s Confederation of Parent Advisory Councils, where her campaign says she gained experience with provincial education policy and the relationship between parents and the public school system.
Green’s campaign also points to her involvement in advocating for parent information sessions on youth vaping, the Build Our Middle School Committee, Mossom Creek Hatchery, Port Moody’s Indigenous Peoples Day celebration and a previous term as an elected councillor in the Village of Anmore.

Supporting every student
Green says she wants classroom resources and supports to meet different student needs while maintaining meaningful choices for families. Her campaign website also highlights programs such as French Immersion, Montessori and IB.
School safety and well-being
Her platform calls for safe learning environments for students and staff, along with consistent training and support across schools.
Preparing students for a changing world
Green wants stronger career, trades and STEM pathways developed through partnerships with post-secondary institutions, industry and associations.
Planning for Port Moody’s growth
Her platform calls for earlier coordination around school capacity, childcare and shared amenities as new neighbourhoods develop.
Fiscal responsibility and transparency
Green says school-district spending should prioritize students and classrooms while maintaining transparent budgeting.
Preparing Students for What Comes Next
Green says one of her focuses is giving students earlier exposure to the different paths available after graduation, including university, trades and technology-related careers.
Her campaign says she wants SD43 to strengthen relationships with local industry, trades and post-secondary institutions so students have more opportunities to gain practical experience before graduating.
Planning Schools Alongside a Growing City
Growth is another central part of Green’s platform.
She argues that decisions about school capacity, shared facilities and childcare should be made alongside the development of new neighbourhoods rather than after families have already moved in.
Her current campaign platform specifically points to growing areas such as Inlet Centre and Moody Centre and calls for stronger collaboration among the school district, municipal government, developers and the province.

Port Moody’s general local election takes place Saturday, Oct. 17, 2026.
Voters will elect one mayor, six councillors and two SD43 school trustees. Those elected will serve from November 2026 through October 2030.
