SURREY, B.C. – Surrey residents will have dozens of options for casting their ballots in the 2026 municipal election, with voters able to vote at any of 52 locations across the city on Saturday, October 17.
Voting will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Surrey voters will elect one mayor, eight city councillors and six school trustees, giving residents a say in who will represent the city and school district over the next term.
For residents who want to vote before election day, advance voting will be available on October 7, 10, 14 and 15, also from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Ten locations will offer advance voting:
Cloverdale Recreation Centre, Earl Marriott Secondary, École Panorama Ridge Secondary, Fleetwood Community Centre, Frank Hurt Secondary, Fraser Heights Recreation Centre, Guildford Recreation Centre, Kwantlen Park Secondary, Princess Margaret Secondary School and Semiahmoo Secondary School.
Registered voters are asked to bring their voter card and one piece of acceptable identification.
Residents who are not already registered can register when they vote by providing two pieces of acceptable identification.
Accessible voting options will also be available. The City says voters can vote by mail, curbside voting will be offered at all voting locations and all locations are wheelchair accessible.
Surrey’s interactive voting-location map will allow voters to find a location and view estimated wait times.
Preliminary election results are expected to be posted after polls close at 8 p.m. on October 17 and after the last voter has cast a ballot. Official results will be published when ready.
