How we respond

We review the original sourcing, contact relevant people when appropriate, correct confirmed errors and add a dated correction note when the change is material.

Clarifications and updates

New information may be labelled as an update or clarification when the original reporting was accurate but additional context is useful.

Removal requests

Requests involving privacy, safety, copyright or legal concerns are reviewed individually. A request does not guarantee removal, but it will receive fair consideration.
